Findings presented at a recently held tourism conference showed that the number of Britons going on a trip last year has almost matched before the pandemic numbers.

Approximately 87% of respondents studied took a holiday domestically or internationally in the past year.

Young travellers were also twice as likely to choose a company, accommodation, or location because of its eco-friendly policies.

Approximately one in five of millennials valued green practices, against ten percent generally.

Some leaders voiced reservations about these claims.

Travellers wants to be more eco-friendly – but if it’s pricier, they usually hesitate about it.

Nevertheless, the same expert added that young travellers "are a lot more conscientious and mindful of wellbeing than when I was young".
