Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Update
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further global layoffs are expected, as the firm planning to reveal all specifics via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated the firm was looking to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
