Two Men Accused with Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
